Onkyo GX-AiO 50 – Compact 2.1 sound, one box

The GX-AiO 50 is the entry point into Onkyo Creator GX-AiO all-in-one music systems: a single compact cabinet holding two main drivers and its own powered subwoofer. It suits a bedroom, a kitchen counter or a desk where a component system would not fit, yet where the sound still has to carry the room. At Soundium it sits alongside the larger GX-AiO 100 and GX-AiO 150 as the smallest of the three.

Key Features

  • True 2.1 architecture: Dual main drivers plus a dedicated, independently amplified subwoofer.
  • Integrated bass enclosure: The bass-reflex duct runs through the illuminated rear slit.
  • Class D with DSP: Full-digital amplification keeps noise, distortion and heat low.
  • Three power modes: Eco, Standard and Max reshape the output range around the room.
  • One hub for everything: HDMI ARC, USB-C, optical, Bluetooth 5.3 and a switchable line/phono input.
  • True Wireless Stereo: Pair two units and they split into dedicated left and right channels.

Customer Benefits

Small rooms punish speakers that only know one volume. Eco Mode gives you fine control late at night, Standard covers everyday listening and Max opens the system up when friends arrive, all on the same 30-step scale so nothing gets harder to operate. The switchable line/phono input means a turntable plugs straight in without a separate stage, and HDMI ARC lets the TV remote drive the volume. Start with one, add a second later for a wider stereo image.

Quick Specs

  • Configuration: 2.1-channel, dual main drivers with built-in powered subwoofer
  • Amplification: Full-digital Class D with DSP
  • Power modes: Eco, Standard, Max (30-step volume scale)
  • Wireless: Bluetooth 5.3, True Wireless Stereo pairing between two units
  • Inputs: HDMI ARC, USB-C audio and playback, optical digital, switchable line/phono
  • Supported audio: 32 / 44.1 / 48 kHz at 16-bit and 24-bit
  • Lighting: LED control ring and bass-duct lighting, set in the Onkyo Controller app
  • App control: Onkyo Controller over Bluetooth Low Energy
  • Placement: Vertical or horizontal, with magnetic fabric grilles for both orientations
  • Finishes: Black or white, smudge-resistant textured

In the Box

  • GX-AiO 50 music system
  • Remote control
  • Power cord
  • HDMI cable
  • USB-C to USB-A cable
  • Quick-start guide

Ideal For

  • A bedroom, kitchen or dorm room that needs one speaker to do everything
  • A desk setup where a TV, a laptop and a turntable share the same box
  • A first step into the GX-AiO range, with a second unit added later for stereo

Compatibility

Works with televisions over HDMI ARC, with computers and phones over USB-C or Bluetooth 5.3, with optical digital sources, and with moving-magnet turntables through the switchable phono input.

Pros and Cons

✅ Pros:

  • Real subwoofer inside the cabinet, not a wide-range driver pretending
  • HDMI ARC and phono in the same box at the smallest size in the range
  • Eco Mode makes low-volume listening genuinely usable
  • Pairs with a second unit for true wireless stereo

⚠️ Cons:

  • The smallest cabinet in the range, so large rooms are better served by the 100 or 150
  • Bluetooth only for wireless streaming, with no Wi-Fi or network playback

If you want one box that handles the TV, the laptop and the record player without a rack of components behind it, the GX-AiO 50 is the sensible place to start. Find it at Soundium, next to the rest of the Onkyo Creator range.
